Baby Orangutan forced to live for one year in a chicken coop and fed only condensed milk gets a second chance at life after being rescued

10 month Budi is a baby orangutan.

Deprived of love, proper nutrition, and leaving in pain this baby Orangutan was found caged in a chicken coop where he was fed only condensed milk for almost a year.  He was found in such a bad shape that although he is old enough to climb on trees, he can’t even stand on his own.  Sadly, even after being rescued by an British animal welfare charity, it will take a long time before he can recover from severe anemia and psychological  trauma.

Baby chimps are often stolen from their families and kept as pets by ignorant people who have not the slightest idea of how to take care of them.  Equally saddening, due to deforestation in a effort to make room for palm oil plantations their habitats are being quickly destroyed.  Moreover, they are often hunted for meat or by farmers when these invade their farming fields.

His limbs failed to grow properly due to severe malnutrition.

There is hope that he might make a full recovery over the long run.
