Sea Otter pup found alone and hungry rescued by beach goer

After being found off the coast of California, alone and hungry, this tiny precious furball was rescued and taken to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California.

She is currently known only as Pup 681, and will be given a name once she is transported to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.

She has spent four weeks at the California Monterey Aquarium in order to ensure she is fostered back to full health.

This pup was first taken to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife after being discovered when a person who was walking along the beach heard her cries.

Caring for this pup is a 24/7 job, and up to 6 wild experts are sometimes needed to ensure she gets proper care while she learns to groom herself, feed on solid foods, and regulate her body temperature.

So far she has been doing great. She is expected to taken to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago soon.
