They call him the cat man of Aleppo. His name is Alaa and his an ambulance driver in war-torn Aleppo, Syria. As war rages on, Alaa spends his spare time and savings taking care of stray cats. These cats, like many other victims of the war, have been displaced from their homes. He is currently caring for 150 stray cats and it costs him about $4 dollars a day to care for these animals.
The city’s district has been abandoned, but he has remained behind to ensure these cats are taken care of and so far has been doing it for two month. Alaa is awesomelycute’s hero of the day!
